Received a Ph.D. from Peking University, conducted postdoctoral research at Harvard Medical School, and later served as an Instructor. Joined the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences as a researcher in August 2011.
Received the National Outstanding Young Scholar Award, the National Ten Thousand Talent Plan Leading Talent, the Chief Scientist of the National Key R&D Program, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Currently undertaking national key R&D projects,杰青 projects, key projects, innovative group projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and pilot projects from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Primarily engaged in research on neural stem cells and brain development mechanisms, exploring the mechanisms of brain developmental diseases, providing potential targets for the diagnosis and treatment of brain diseases, and laying a theoretical foundation for translational research.
Research results have been published in over 50 international journals such as Cell Stem Cell, Adv Sci, Sci Adv, PNAS, Cell Res, Mol Psychiatry, Trends Cell Biol, etc.
Currently serves as the Chairman of the Stem Cell Physiology Committee of the Chinese Physiological Society, a Council Member of the Chinese Physiological Society, a Council Member of the Chinese Neuroscience Society, etc. Serves as an editorial board member of journals such as Fundamental Research and Cell Proliferation.
